Josh Friedman
Location: Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel
Occupation: Director of Development
A trained actuary who studied at Yeshiva University, Josh is currently Director of Development of Yeshivas Yeshuos Yisroel in Ramat Beit Shemesh, where he draws on his 16 years of experience in educational management to ensure a strong, sustainable institution. Josh’s passion for doing the right thing, coupled with his love for all Jews, led him to found Israel Select Fund to help critical charities continue their important work.
Alan Wellins
Location: Beit Shemesh, Israel
Occupation: Human Resources Professional
Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, Alan is a 35-year human resources veteran who’s helped hire, grow, and retain consultants for some of Britain’s most established companies, including Barclays Bank, British Leyland, and British Telecom. A visionary who always sees the full picture, Alan brings a combination of his strategy and people expertise to Israel Select Fund, advising on efficient utilization and maximal benefit from funds raised.
Marc Olswang
Location: Chicago, IL
Occupation: Financial Services Director
With more than 20 years of experience in the financial field, Marc — founder of Strategic Marketing Financial Services in Chicago — is an expert at building and nurturing relationships and helping people make sound decisions. Marc is Israel Select Fund’s “boots on the ground” in the U.S., assisting with financial and administrative duties and decisions.
Shira Isenberg
Location: Memphis, TN
Occupation: Senior Copywriter
A writer, editor, and expert word cutter for the past 14 years, Shira is currently Senior Copywriter for Michal Eisik Media, where she crafts clear, compelling messaging for websites and marketing materials. Shira’s been helping Israel Select share its message with the world since its founding.
